In partnership with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh, School of Pharmacy’s Program Evaluation and Research Unit (PERU), the Institute of Politics hosted an Opioid Epidemic Forum at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex in Indiana, Pa. on April 26, 2017. The event featured a keynote address from Josh Shapiro, Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. There were also presentations on increasing access to treatment, warm handoff protocols, partnering law enforcement and public health, and best practices in perscribing from regional experts.
